Under the direction of Mr. Bahr, our Jazz Ensemble is an elite ensemble that consistently performs at a high level at both local functions and out of town festivals. Our primary role is to serve as the Club Cougar Orchestra.

ORCHESTRA (Strings)

The Foothill Orchestra is taught by Mr. Dan Baker. This is a course for violin, viola, cello and upright bass. This class is tailored for both beginners and experienced players. We perform at Winter Concert, Spring Concert, Graduation…as well as local concerts here at Foothill and in our local community.

SYMPHONIC BAND (Band II)

The hardest working band around! Under the direction of Mr. Bahr (and senior drum major Ms. Pelayo) this ensemble is active in parades, field shows and concert band repertoire, this band consistently performs at an elite level.

CONCERT BAND
(Band I)

Concert Band is offered to all incoming freshmen students and any students interested in band. Led by our band director, Mitch Bahr, we play all home football games, participate in the Redding Lighted Christmas Parade, CMEA Band Festival, Winter/Spring Concert and graduation. It is designed to be an introductory course into our high school instrumental music program.

PIANO and GUITAR

We also offer piano and guitar. No experience is required for either course. We learn notation, rhythm, basic music theory, and learn lots of great songs!
